Ellie Mae/Sophy's Fund
This fund was set up by Dr. Tracey Jensen when her beloved kitty Ellie Mae passed away after 18yrs of companionship. Before Dr Jensen was a veterinarian she found a tiny kitten she called Ellie Mae, that had survived a fire. The veterinarian that Dr Jensen took her to was able to provide care for her through a donation fund for animals without a home and in need of medical services. After seeing the result of care that Ellie Mae received and the 18yrs of companionship Dr. Jensen enjoyed, she decided that a fund in her name was a way she too could pass on the goodwill shown to Ellie Mae in her time of need. Sophie's name was added to the fund when she lost her battle with bladder cancer. Her human companion wanted to be able to help animals in need also by establishing a fund in her name as well. We have set this fund aside with the same purpose in mind and have been able to help several animals over the years.

These are some of the animals helped by the Ellie Mae Fund this year and their stories.

Lilly and Puppies
Lilly and Puppies
Lilly the Maltese Mamma came to our care when her owners realized she was very pregnant and were unable to care for mom and upcoming puppies. Lilly gave birth to 4 puppies that our staff cared for here until they were old enough to go to their new homes. Mom and puppies are now living with their new families and doing great!

Sarah came into our care early this year in need of a new home. She needed some extensive oral surgery and some work with a few bad habits. Sarah stayed with us for 2 months while we worked hard to find her the right home. She has found the perfect parents and is doing wonderfully today.

PG came in as a very scared pregnant stray. She gave birth to 4 kittens and sadly one did not make it. One of our technicians took PG and Kittens home to foster until they were ready to go to a home of their own. PG found her way into the heart of that technician and the kittens were adopted out shortly after reaching the appropriate age.

Pouncer
Pouncer
Scamper and Pouncer came to stay with us when their owner could no longer care for them. They are both senior citizens cats with alot of personality. Pouncer is currently entertaining us with his "king of the kingdom" antics but would love to find an owner to cuddle up with! If you are interested, please call our clinic and we can give you more information on how to adopt Pouncer.

If you would like to donate to this fund to help animals in need, please call the clinic for donation information. Our fundraising only comes from Good Samaritan donations like yours!
