Practice Owner and Medical DirectorDr. Jensen grew up in Littleton Colorado and graduated from Mesa State College in Grand Junction with a Bachelor of Science degree. After spending 4 years in biomedical research at the University of Colorado Medical School, she entered veterinary school and graduated from Colorado State University in 1996 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She and her husband, Dr. Wayne Jensen, opened the Wellington Veterinary Clinic in 1999. Through her dedication to education Dr. Jensen went on to achieve Board Certification in Canine and Feline Practice. Most recently Dr Jensen learned an area of medicine that could offer her patients with alternative pain relief and after completing over 140 hours of continuing education , she received her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture. With a strong desire to remain current in Veterinary Medicine, Dr Jensen is a member of The American Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, Larimer County Veterinary Medical Association, American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, American Heartworm Society, American Canine Sports Medicine Society, American Animal Hospital Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. She and Wayne share their home in Wellington with 5 labradors, 1 border collie, 3 cats and a number of waterfowl and chickens. Her hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving, mountain biking and retriever field trials.
